CHRISTIAN DENTAL SOCIETY - Changing Hearts One Smile At A Time

Welcome to the Christian Dental Society

Welcome to the Christian Dental Society.  Our mission is to show the love of Christ throughout the world by offering free dental services to those in need.  Since its inception in 1963, CDS has provided volunteers, equipment and supplies with the objective of serving Christ as He instructed in the Great Commission, Matthew 28:18-20 – “All authority has been given to me in heaven and on earth.  Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age.”

There are many exciting opportunities available here as we strive to proclaim the "Good News" of our Savior to all the world through our community of dental professionals who, together with the continued support of generous sponsors, take the gospel around the world to those in need.

  • If you would like information on Christian dental mission trips around the world, check out those listed on our web site.
  • Portable dental equipment is available for mission trips. You can rent or purchase equipment for a nominal charge.
  • You can also help by becoming a sponsor. Your donations can help us help others, and they are fully tax deductible.
  • Please pray about how you can help us to take the Light of the Gospel to people who need to know that God truly does care for them.
  • If you or a friend are in need of a free or discounted dental treatment, check out our directory of US clinics to see if there is one near you.

If you are looking for a Christian dentist in your area, please view our directory where you can find professionals dedicated to serving Christ in their community and beyond.

Haiti Request

Yesterday morning I attended the Christian Family Coalition breakfast here in Miami, FL. Three pastors from different churches gave us a report on conditions in Haiti.

As you may know, Miami is one of the dropping off places for aid to Haiti.

They are asking for camping tents--in good condition. If you have any, which you will not be using in the future, please send them on down. They will fly the tents in a missionary plane to a landing strip in Dominican Republic. From there they will be taken to missionaries for distribution to homeless families.

Many families are sleeping on the ground using only blankets.....They have nothing else…reminds me of being in the army and sleeping in the winter with one blanket. bbrrrrrrrrr

San Diego Cross Can Stay on Public Land

Federal judge says cross is constitutional, as is, because "the primary effect is patriotic and nationalistic, not religious."

The cross atop Mount. Soledad in San Diego has been the subject of controversy for years. Groups advocating a separation of church and state have sought the removal of the cross, saying it's unconstitutional to have a religious symbol on public land. A federal judge has ruled that the cross can remain.

"The court finds the memorial at Mt. Soledad, including its Latin cross, communicates the primarily nonreligious messages of military service, death and sacrifice," wrote U.S. District Judge Larry Alan Burns in his decision filed Tuesday. "As such, despite its location on public land, the memorial is constitutional." ACLU may appeal.

SURROUNDED by concentric walls displaying more than 2,000 granite plaques that recognize both living and dead veterans, the Mount Soledad cross in La Jolla stands on the highest coastal summit in Southern California. Panoramic views of the city, the Pacific Ocean and mountain ranges to the east and north have made the spot a tourist attraction. To many Christians and non-Christians, the towering cross is a historic landmark, a symbol of sacrifice, a memorial that pays tribute to the men and women who ha’ve served our country.
